United States
I've got a lot going on right now.  I'm getting married tomorrow.  :)  I have a new precious grandbaby in the house
and 30 people for Thanksgiving Dinner next week.  It's the beginnings of a very busy time for a bit.  So I'm taking
a break from my artistic endeavors (and my sanity) so that I can take care of everything.  I'll be back.

In case I don't see you all before - Have a safe and Happy Holiday Season!  :)

Bonnie, thank you very, VERY much for your note. I understand what you said about it being harder than you thought [to stop and write out choices you are making in the process].

I've only used picnik so far, and it is the simplest possible program. I tweak and turn knobs and modes without even looking at the hand that is turning things. My eyes are on the image.

It reminds me of how they test your eyesight, is 1 better, or 3, 3 or 7...
I don't have any art training and I don't like reading directions. I don't even know the basics about the color wheel, or composition "guidelines" ~ MUCH less the technical aspects of this artform.

Gore was so easy to make, but that is not really my genre! I like to make a little dark or melancholy sometimes, but cemeteries and blood splatters I can do only so many of...

Your note is an incredible help. I've looked over the various programs and even a few tutorials in the past.

It felt like I was trying to take a sip out of the middle of Niagra Falls. I will use your note as a place to get a footing.

Thanks for the stock lead too.

I'd looked at your textures in your fave gallery. I was very proud to discover you picked one of mine. I'm :iconpaintresseye: = paintresseye

Especially since I know most people just download without giving any faves. And with the volume of texture collecting I figured people were doing it that way. It is only practical way, and made sense.

So, I take more notice of those faves, in that account.

I understood what you said about collecting lots of textures. I made lots too.

Could so easily become another place where I hoard. Hoarding means to a level you've collected so much that you can't find anything or make sense of it all, and sort of paralyze yourself trying to illiminate and pick something to actually use.

Your note goes down in the memories as one of my top most favorite birthday presents. Seriously. Thank you so much.
